Just after I left Kansas for New York a friend's child asked me if things in Kansas were really black and white.  That was insightful.  I spent 30 colorful and creative years in New York City.  My friends were designers, actors and architects and I found my niche in a love of mathematical order.  Weaving and knitting became my passion.  I wove tapestries for PanAm and then tapestry coats for celebrities.

  • My one-of-a-kind sweaters and coats were featured in magazines and sold in boutiques across the country

  • When the business of fashion became too much a business, I went to work for my former clients - Elizabeth Taylor, Cher and Catherine Deneuve to promote their perfumes

Following New York, we moved to a small coastal town in South Carolina.  To keep busy I made a mirror frame from broken dishes, then tiled the baths in our new home.  It began a 10 year, 24/7 obsession with mosaic.

  • I did one woman shows in South Carolina, Atlanta and Florida

  • My work was featured in national mosaic exhibitions in Chicago and LosAngeles

  • My sculptures were in invitational exhibits in Charleston SC, Attleboro MA and New Bern NC.

Since moving to Dallas in 2013 I have made my home my gallery and studio.  I have begun to use fiber along with mosaic to create new forms with more vibvrant colors and texture.  I am in a new phase.
